Summary

SYR Clothing Co. is an online streetwear clothing brand that represents the city of Syracuse, it’s surrounding neighborhoods and areas.

My wife and I discovered there was nothing like it in Syracuse. We wanted to give people a way to represent their city through unique and creative clothing designs. We give back a portion of every sale to a featured local nonprofit which is important to us. Our mission is to increase the sense of pride in Syracuse while also giving back to the community and so far the response to our brand has been great.:

• Co-Owner and Co-Founder for this company (launched in November 2019)
• Designed the company logo and established the company’s branding
• Designed/developed the website
• Developed the company sizzle video
• Set up the company Facebook and Instagram account while maintaining it
• Every design on our clothing was created by me
• Managing marketing campaigns (social media and email)
• Fostering relationships with local business owners and nonprofit organizations
• Developing press releases for local media outlets
• Designed new business cards, letterheads, invoices, email signatures – you name it!

Activities worth noting:

• Went on NBC (local channel 3) and CBS (local channel 5) to tell our company story
• Did a video interview with Spectrum News to talk about the ‘Stronger than Graffiti’ line we developed
• Our ‘Stronger than Graffiti’ line was mentioned on local radio (93Q – Ted & Amy in the morning)
• Developed a t-shirt for a young marine who got Leukemia where we donated all profits back to his family (over $500 donated)
  • We were mentioned on syracuse.com for this effort
• Created all the long-sleeve tees and t-shirts for a celebrity bartending event where Patrick Corbin wore our clothing
• Adam Weitsman and Latavius Murray have proudly worn our clothing as well
• Met with the Mayor Syracuse to discuss our mission and vision for the company
• Have been invited to go on ‘Bridge Street’ which is a local ABC station to discuss our winter collection
